About Us

History

Hello, my name is Monique Elgin.

I was born on December 17, 1968, in Paramaribo, Suriname.

After high school, I attended the HBO program at Lucia Marthas's Amsterdam Ballet Academy.

In 1993, I successfully completed this four-year program, specializing in stage dance and teaching. During and after my training, I danced in various TV and theater shows, such as the Soundmixshow, the Staatsloterijshow, and the Dinnershow.

I also danced in Gerard Joling's theater tour and performed with Anita Meijer at Ahoy. With the dance company Opus One, I danced and sang in the family show "Alone in the World."

In 1997, I had the opportunity to take over a ballet studio in Heiloo. From that moment on, Dance and Fitness Studio 115 became a reality.

Many students have already found their way to the school, whether because of the relaxed atmosphere or the personal attention before, during, or after classes. The fact is that the studio meets a need

When you think of "ballet studio," you might immediately think of classical ballet and jazz ballet. Understandably, but we offer so much more. You can also take hip-hop, freestyle, jazz/show musical, and modern dance classes. For those who want to work on their strength, fitness, and flexibility, the Body Contour and Total Body Workouts are a must! Monique has also been a certified ZUMBA instructor since October 2009.
